What we do

RETREATS | ONE TO ONE SESSIONS | GROUPS

Our retreats combine a nature connection walk with sensory and mindfulness exercises, such as deep breathing, getting up ‘close and personal’ with the flora and fauna and exploring how we and our four legged friends can understand and benefit more from our relationship with our wonderful native trees and plants.

After refreshments, we explore zoopharmacognosy (zoo: animal, pharma: remedy, cognosy: knowing) with our Aromabalance session, demonstrating how you can work with your dog using natural extracts, essential oils and herbs to strengthen their wellbeing and increase the bond between you and your pooch.

We’ll see how animals have an innate ability to detect the medicinal qualities of plants and self-select from a range of materials to support their own physical and emotional health and create bespoke natural products for you and your dog to take home.

Spending time in nature not only helps us feel better, but we have also been able to demonstrate some significant benefits to physical health, including lowering blood pressure and resting heart rate and it has been proven that lowering our stress levels, also improves stress in our dogs.

We also offer one to one sessions with you and your dog at home, to explore your individual needs and explore your dog’s personal choices in more in-depth including a personalised written follow-up record of the session and how to work with your dog at home.

FOR ANIMAL THERAPISTS AND VETS

For our animal specialists, if you are curious about zoopharmacognosy and the benefits of nature connection, we are happy to put together a CPD session for your team including a demonstration.

Kirsty is a member of the IAAT (International Association of Animal Therapists) and dedicated to providing quality care in collaboration with veterinary practitioners and specialists.

FOR GROUPS

We have worked with organisations to create bespoke sessions for your group to help relax and enjoy each other’s company together and have worked with organisations such as Dog Friendly to create dog friendly retreats.  We operate mostly from Hampshire but we can work, where possible, from other locations to create a magical day together.

We are always looking to add to our portfolio, so keep an eye on the events page for new options coming soon, or get in touch if there is something you’d really like to do!

We keep our workshop groups limited to small numbers to ensure safety and to ensure you to get a some time one-on-one time during the aromabalance sessions, but if you have a larger group in mind, please contact us to discuss.
