Hello, thanks for stopping by ...and welcome

I’M KIRSTY, FOUNDER OF THE NATURE NURTURE - COME ON IN AND LET ME SHOW YOU AROUND!

I’m passionate about creating a more connected world that generates better understanding of physical and mental health and wellbeing and the role nature can play in keeping us in prime health.

It has always been my ‘go to’ in times of stress and to support my health and I have been curious to explore, understand and study the impact this also has on our furry friends

In this hectic age, it’s becoming even more important to take time out to reconnect and by doing so with our dogs, we can increase our bond using nature as our common language.

I hope you will enjoy skimming through our pages, and join us for a group or individual session.

Mindful sensory exercises in outdoor spaces (sometimes called Shinrin Yoku or Forest Bathing)

…are a great and proven way of lowering stress levels, enabling us to create space to grow and become more curious, learn new skills more easily and become our best selves.

We move beyond ‘a good old walk’ to mindfully stop and consider what is going on around us and the patterns and rhythms of nature, providing a safe space for you and your dog to relax and unwind.

Zoopharmacognosy

… is becoming more widely known and researched as a way of understanding our animal’s health and wellbeing by using natural herbs, extracts and oils that your animal self-selects by ingesting or applying topically.

Dogs have an innate understanding of the secondary compounds in plants that can have medicinal qualities, so if you’ve ever been curious as to why your dog deliberately seeks out different plants in the hedgerow, we may just have the answer!

Fancy GETTING INVOLVED?

We often run the sessions with volunteer supporters or with other nature and crafting gurus who can bring new skills and perspectives to our sessions. If you feel you could fit into this merry band, please get in touch and tell us about yourself!
